Intake/Diagnostic Assessment - $150

Whether you are looking for help for yourself or your child, I will first meet with you to get a holistic picture of your situation and what you’re hoping to accomplish. We’ll go over your/your child’s mental, physical, emotional, and social history, current problems and needs, and identify what outcomes you’d like to see. From there, I will assign a working diagnosis to help give a framework to your situation and submit claims to insurance. You/your child will never be defined by your diagnosis - it is merely a snapshot of symptoms as they exist at this time, and a way to conceptualize the current challenges and identify solutions. I am always happy to explain this more and answer questions as needed!

Individual Psychotherapy - $135

After the initial intake and assessment, we will meet once a week for about an hour to begin to make progress towards your goals. If you are seeking help for your child, some sessions will be me working 1-1 with the child and some will be time set aside for me to check in with you and see how you feel about your child’s progress and needs. Parent collaboration is essential for successful therapy for children. But as a parent myself, I will always work hard to make you feel heard, understood, and supported as much as your child. I know what it’s like to feel judged by professionals, and I am always mindful of this when you trust me to help your family during your most difficult times.

I accept some insurances, including Aetna, Anthem/Blue Cross Blue Shield, Antidote, CareSource, Medical Mutual, OhioHealthy, Optum, Ulliance, UnitedHealthcare, and UMR. If you use insurance, your payment per session is set by your specific insurance plan. Please check the copay for “office visit” or your plan’s mental health benefits to get an estimate of what you would pay per session.

Medicaid plans accepted for Anthem and CareSource, with others in progress.

What to expect:

I work hard to make working with me feel safe, calm, and enjoyable from the very beginning. From the minute you walk through my office doors, your senses will be invited to feel welcome and relaxed - from the coffee and tea in the waiting room, the essential oil diffuser, the carefully selected colors and designs, the calming noises on the sound machine, the fidgets and coloring pages you are welcome to during your wait and throughout our sessions. Your child will be excited to see the options in the playroom - my own daughters have helped select toys, games, and special touches that your child will love! We have art supplies, a doll house, stuffed animals, a chalkboard and dry erase board, plenty of books, cars, fidgets, games, and several child-sized seating options to make your child feel at home.

In the adult room, there is comfortable furniture, space to set your belongings, and options to draw, color, and fidget while we talk. One thing I always try to make clear with my clients: there is no rush to our work together. I am not here to “fix” you. I am here to create a space and relationship where you feel safe to take the time you need. I won’t discharge you once you start to make progress. If you’ve had to be strong and resilient and hold space for others your entire life, you deserve a space where you know you will be welcomed back, no matter how well you’re doing or how much you’re struggling.
